SUBU is your Students’ Union, you are automatically a member when you enrol as a student at BU (you will do this online before you get to BU, (take care to “opt-in to SUBU” ! We are a registered charity and all the profits from any commercial activities go back into funding a huge variety of student activities and projects, clubs & societies and the helpful Advice Service, all of which make your time at BU even better. What’s more all our part-time staff are students and we endeavour to be ethical and environmental in what we do, so you can feel good about spending in your SUBU outlets.

The Old Fire Station is a unique 1200 capacity nightclub and 550 capacity live music venue in the heart of Bournemouth. Playing host to a diverse line up of events over the years, it has become an iconic venue on the south coast.

Since 1995 the venue has acted as nightclub and music venue for the Students' Union at Bournemouth University. As the SU venue we aim to bring you the best events throughout your time at BU.

The Students Union at Bournemouth University are a large employer of student staff and we are recruiting now for our commercial services for the coming academic year including:

Old Fire Station (nightclub venue) – bar staff, box office staff & technical stage crew.

Dylans Kitchen & Bar – service and kitchen staff.

SUBU shop – shop floor and counter staff.

Student Centre Café – Baristas.
